Jeep Email Survey

Sorry if this has been talked about before but could not find.

I received a email survey from Jeep the other day on my 14 JGC Eco. Told them I thought the DEF protection fix was a joke and asked about paint issues on mine. Also let them know the usual; better training for techs, parts wait is waaay to long and a true fix is needed for the guys having transmission shudder. Luckily I haven't had yet, 8k mi & fingers crossed. I received a call the next day from Jeep but was at work. Lady left number and extension. Has anyone had this? Any tips what to say/not say? I honestly thought I would never hear back from them.

I have received several of these on my 2014 Cherokee Limited. I just put down the truth. If you over do it I think they write you off as a crank. Eventually, I received an offer to be on a Chrysler paid online forum for 3 months. I didn't get rich off of it but I did get $100. The forum was quite an eye opener. You would not believe some of the trivial things people were complaining about. I would hate to be Chrysler and have to try and please everybody. I do think the (new) Chrysler is trying. They are not going to change overnight.

Thanks for info macfan. It means alot to me that they are actually reaching out. I hope they fix these problems. In my opinion they would have a exceptional product if so. I did fill out honestly about my problems as I'm sure they deal with a ton of b.s. from customers. Cannot imagine the number of customers they have to deal with. Just want them to stand behind it as I and many others waited a very long time on order for our SFU and want to be happy. I have loved mine other than few issues. Any issues for u? How many miles if you don't mind me asking?

Laughs, the miles question is not exactly a fair one for me. I am retired and don't drive a whole lot anymore. My Cherokee will be one year old next month and I just turned 3,000 miles. The only problem I have had so far was a scraping sound in the front brakes. Turns out some new employee (Most of the Cherokee assembly employees were new as this was a new model.) put some goop on the back of the front brake pads that was not supposed to be there. Long story short the service manager went to bat for me with Chrysler and got them to replace both the pads and the rotors in the front. The rotors probably would have been OK but the service manager said he would rather replace the brakes with matching pads and rotors. He went out of his way to please me and even lent me his personal car while they were doing the work.

Most of the problems with the Cherokee are with people who didn't break the 9 speed transmission in properly. With the transmission being a learning transmission how you drive the first 500 miles is extremely important. If you don't break the transmission in properly about all you can do short of replacing it is reset it to learn again and hope you haven't done any damage to it. Throwing TSB flashes at it only seems to make it worse. I broke mine in to the letter and have never had a problem so far. I have not had any of the TSB flashes done either.
