CR I guess is worth reading but my previous two vehicles were VW jetta Diesels and they rate them poorly and both ran with very few issues. The older one was sold at 286K and was still running fine and no using oil and the second one I sold to the the GC was closing in on 100K and the new owner is driving it for a year now with no issues and he drives 30K a year just like I do. I think this vehicle probably is not a good fit for someone who does not get out on the highway very often as my son had his GC go through a regen once since he got it. That is how they work and not a defect but I have never seen that on my screen although I do believe that it was doing something at times because you see that the MPG is not as good as it should have been during my commute. The seats could be more comfortable but I think that they are firm so that on long rides you feel better than you would with a too soft squishy seat. Oh my phone did not hook up to Bluetooth a few times but it certainly is more reliable than the system in the Jetta. Oh and today on the business news they were saying that Jeep sales are climbing quickly as America is moving more and more to SUV's. So do not think that the rating has hurt them at all. Oh Chrysler SUB's and pickup trucks are also leading in sales as well. I have not seen any issue with the diesel or the transmission that would cause me to say I am having a fit over it. I loved the seamless transmission changes on the Jetta and wish they used the same kind of transmission but shifts still are pretty much unnoticeable. Oh that reminds me of the one issue that I guess is a pain and that is how it stays in gear on a down hill. I guess that might be a bad thing in a place like San Fransisco and it is not always what I want the vehicle to do but I think it is not even close to a reason to stay away from the GC.
Wow. You have more problems with your Summit than I but after waiting 24 days for a service appt and after the GC was at the dealer 7 hrs they informed me that none of the Uconnect issues were corrected. They also had to order a part for the latest Safety Recall so back to the dealer on the 16th. I do love the eco though.
