With each post in this thread your looking more & more foolish and your inability to explain your less than informed posts along with your childish responses to my factual posts makes me question why I've tried to enlighten you at all. Maybe you've eaten as much dirt in your breakfast cereal as you've been feeding your K&N filtered engines over the years and your mind is now mush!

Either way I've wasted enough time on you....... have a nice day!
All this based on your one Blackstone test
Way to many variables in oil tests. You have to look at type of oil filter, brand of oil filter. Amount of microns of dirt filtered in oil filter. Amount of air engine has taken in during test conditions. Condition of air filter and few more I do not have off top of my head.
Blackstone only tests oil sample supplied. If I had oil filter in by pass all the time, my dirt level would be sky high.

Re: K&N Cold Air Intake (CAI) 63-1570

I used k&n cai before. but of course I'm a 47 year old troll according to the most knowledgable guy on this site, or any site for that matter. again, we all make mistakes, and either we learn from them or we (Jetskifast) ignore them and go on in life thinking we know everything.

I mean who would'nt want oil spewing into their intake manifold, right? its like the NFL saying that head to head contact doesn't cause brain damage. anyone human with a brain would have the common sense to know better, even if they aren't a doctor.

not a hater, never been...

I was thinking of you and your s10 the other. you call that hate?

Once again, your post speaks for itself
S10 was great commute truck, plus could careless if damaged with door dings in parking lots Also had 175,000 miles of trouble free miles of K&N CAI use before selling
Now your lack of knowledge on K&N CAI has oil spewing into intake manifold along with dirt. Makes me wonder how my 2001 Jeep 4.7 limited also made it to 207,000 miles trouble free using K&N CAI
Maybe spend time on posting on products you actually have experience using After 500,000 miles using K&N CAI kits, without any problems. I think I can post with real life facts, not something I read on internet

Re: K&N Cold Air Intake (CAI) 63-1570

Anyone have the cone dimensions of the K&N so I can upgrade to the superior AFE filter?

Re: K&N Cold Air Intake (CAI) 63-1570

the flange is 6" for both the 3.0 and the 3.6. you can design your own filter on afe website. take these dimensions go onto afe website and have at it, you wont be dissapointed. i also like the prefilters, those are a good idea to use when you have an open air box. believe it or not i used (way back when) to use 2 layers of pantyhose over the filter and take some duct tape and neatly wrap it around the intake tube to hold pantyhose on filter. used to work pretty good. i believe that afe does have prefilters, so no need to go through mommas panty draw.

Re: K&N Cold Air Intake (CAI) 63-1570

For those of you who want a quality CAI filter that actually filters well, (Read NOT a K&N oiled cotton gauze filter)

AFE makes some as noted above and don't forget the 4yr 100K mi Donaldson Power Core filters that Volant offers in their best CAI kits for WK2's.

Volant PowerCore Filter 61503 (7" X 5.75") X 7.5" X (9.5" X 6")

Also Injen has an excellent synthetic fiber cone shaped filter that comes in various sizes that will slip right on virtually any sized CAI tube, Summit Racing sells the entire line;

donaldson! theres a name i havent heard in a while. great filters, great products. they're the real deal diesel guys. some of the best cummins service parts.
you should be happy with the afe, but i personally i went with the pro dry. i like the filter with no oil.
green filter also makes filters... not too bad, just doesnt support the ecodiesell yet, last i checked.
