Re: Latest victim of no-start problems
Add me to the list of diesel's that won't start. My 2014 would not start last Friday evening (7/15), so I had AAA tow me to the dealer. Originally the tech thought it was the starter, but ruled that out. Then they thought it was the TIPM (bad relay), waited for that part, replaced it, and it still won't start. They just admitted (7/22) that they have no idea what is wrong and that they will start "tracing the wiring". I am left wondering if this will be covered under the warranty or not since I am 40+ K miles. Since they don't know what the problem is, they can't say whether this is part of the powertrain or not. I spent $56K on Jeep's flagship model and in less than three years I am on my third cat-converter, the engine won't start (diesel's last forever!), and the tech has no idea why! When I purchased this vehicle consumer reports had it at the top of their list, but now it is near the bottom. I was looking forward to replacing my wife's 2010 Armada with the upcoming Grand Wagoneer, but I have little faith in the reliability of these vehicles now.
