So my passenger seat was delaminating. The Pretty part of the leather peeled off to show the grey fabric backing. I also noticed what I believed to be excess wear on the drivers seat cushion. The dealer submitted it to digital imaging, and I was glad they were able to get them both replaced. (YAY)
New passenger cover, had same part number and is an exact match. The driver seat however was a new part number.
The space between the arm rest and the passenger seat has a nice carpet flap to keep stuff out of the seat gears. The driver's side has a piece of black dust cover (the grey fibrous fabric typically found on the underside of a couch).
Dealer says its a Jeep/FCA problem to call them, as he can't get the right part. Jeep/FCA says its a dealer problem that he needs to order it again to try and get the right material, but that he'll have to eat the cost of the part.
Last night my call to FCA disconnected due to cell service, but they called back and offered 2 oil changes over the next year. Wholeheartedly do not trust the dealer for stuff like this. A tire rotation was paid for but never performed, I could see that, but oil and filters much harder to see to verify.
Part numbers were 5PK43LU5AB (NEW) and 5PK43LU5AA (OLD).. both parts are listed for 2015's too so I'm even more confused that they would be making spares for the 2015's that don't match too.
Anyone have suggestions on how to get this made right?
