Just to clarify - I could 'move' the Jeep. I probably could have gotten out on my own. BUT I would have trashed the wheels on that wall. I took out a couple of good gouges as it was, but I would have really destroyed at least the back one as the alloy wheel was against the concrete.
It was like being a ski slope as far as how slick the mud was, it was hard to stand up on the back of the dam. I drove right though it with momentum then when I went to turn around and turned a little downhill it just slid right down.
I am sure I could have gotten out, but I'm also sure I would have done a fair amount of damage in the process. I had a couple of buddies with other trucks coming, so it seemed wise to get out the strap and sit tight for a little bit.
I was trying to cut the wheel and climb the wall but there was too much mud to get enough grip on it. I did try hard enough to throw off the alignment, so I had an alignment done yesterday.
