Long-term test on Ram 3.0L Eco Diesel

Here is a link to a test performed by Edmunds.com on the Ram truck with the diesel engine. This is the same engine offered in the Grand Cherokee, so it's reasonable to expect similar results for the Jeep:

Re: Long-term test on Ram 3.0L Eco Diesel

This test would've showed much improved overall results with GDE Hot Tune installed before the test was conducted.

Re: Long-term test on Ram 3.0L Eco Diesel

I think more importantly is the simultaneous test they are doing with the F150 2.7 liter Eco or Boost. Ford did that infomercial where they raced it against the Ram and Silvy and the Ford won hands down but in that all out acceleration test they conveniently did not release the mpg results (of which they definitely took during the test). My bets is the Eco or Boost has more pulling power in it's higher RPM but gets about half the fuel mileage the diesel can give.
