I currently just rolled 30K miles on my 14' Ecodiesel Summit. Was interested in knowing what others are doing about maintenance in regards to trans fluid, front & rear diff fluids, and transfer case fluid? More specifically intervals? I do not want to go to the dealership and have them rob me and go "according to the schedule". I plan on keeping the truck forever and have no problem spending good money on properly maintaining it.
Thanks in advance
The manual has this info. The fuel filters are the one that is most important. My dealership suggested doing the differentials which I think I will do at 50K along with the transfer case and Lifeguard 8 for the transmission (drain and refill only which is what I have done on all my ZF transmissions).
Filters are easy to change by the way but have rags and a catch pan since you will loose some diesel fuel doing this...
Appreciate the reply. The manual only states to "Inspect fluid" every 30K but on the Jeep Owner's Center site it recommends changing the fluid. I just don't want to have any warranty issues. I was planning on doing trans, transfer, front and rear diffs around 50K. I'll continue with that plan. The truck is only used as a DD with some light towing.
