So, they are replacing the cat convertor finally. Now from what I have been reading on this thread, that may or may not solve the issue. To be replaced later next week!

On another note (and probably another thread), they had to order parts for my cruise control (the 'RES' function did not work and it kept shutting the cruise off).

By the way, with the MIL light on, I had no real issues and went with the family on a 2100km (1305mi) round trip to the mountains.

As for mileage when this started being an issue, it would have been approximately 16,000km (might have posted that earlier). I am at 21230km now.
You should be fine, many here had their CAT replaced and never saw the issue again...there are always the exceptions, but I would not lose sleep over it. Keep us posted

And I got P2463 code today. Awesome. So now I'm in limp mode so I get to take it to the dealer tomorrow morning at a sweet 30mph.

I'm about done with jeep and the issues on this thing. Already been in 4 times including replacing the cat about 6 months ago.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Update. SCR replaced and gasket as well AB at end of part number. So I crawled under the vehicle to just see what this amazingly annoying part looks like brand new, and there is a large dent like 1 inch x 2 inch in the pipe that leads off the SCR to the next part back. I have cell pics, but don't know how to post. I can't see why this would be a factory "dent", but I don't know for sure. There is also a blue sharpie marker mark in the middle of the dent. Can someone please snap a pic or 2 and let me know if this is normal?

If this is not normal I will truly blow a gasket on this! This "dent" is literally 1 inch x 2 inch, maybe a little bigger. Anyone know what I'm talking about, please say this is normal for some reason. Thanks.

Well normal or not for the dent in the pipe, all 3.0 CRD's have it! - no clue why it would be there, i think it's a bender issue and noone bothers to fix it.

Nookie's right. I saw a pic on here somewhere, and mine (Feb '14 build) has the same "kink" in the pipe.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

I just threw this code (P20EE) this morning. Strange, but I just rolled 10K on the odometer. After reading all of the correspondence, sounds like this is going to be fun. Going to schedule an appointment with the dealer tomorrow, but I wanted to see what the issue was and research it a bit before I did. It's the first code this thing has ever thrown in over a year of driving. Hope my resolution is better than some that I have read. Will keep you posted....

My new SCR Cat has the same thing, a vertical pretty healthy kink in the pipe behind the cat right before it turns and heads for the Duals. it don't really look normal, but it doesn't look too restrictive, so I wasn't going to mention it right off the bat. But I sure don't see the reason or need for it to be there....

Thanks for the replies. Is this it? Calling around now to find a dealer with a 2015 in stock to go visually check. I have to confirm this. Please see pics and reply as soon as able. Thanks all!

Rick,
To my untrained eye of your photos it looks intended - the dimple is too symmetrical and too orthogonal (at a perfect 90 angle) to be from road debris, and it would be an odd angle for that to be caused by road debris. I don't see any other scratches or collateral damage if that was caused by road debris - another reason I believe it is factory intended. Note that I have not crawled under mine to see if there is a similiar dimple.

Thanks for the reply, but my concern is if the dealer dented this thing and still installed it anyway??? This part was installed Thursday evening.

That is my main question to this group if this is from the factory designed? If not my dealer did this and still installed it! Have a great weekend.
