That is my main question to this group if this is from the factory designed? If not my dealer did this and still installed it! Have a great weekend.

Rick

By design... Discussed in another thread somewhere on here. Don't recall the conclusion as to the intent of the "dents".

The old selling dealer is not returning phone calls or emails. That BS has been going on over a month now too.
On the bright side the new 2015 V8 4X2 is running great. A lot more power and none of the jerky turbo lag and transmission shifting. MPG are way done but at least we get to drive it and it is not sitting at the service department.
Finally got my warranty refund check on 08/14/15. Had to go through more hurdles to get it too. Talk about piss poor customer service. This will be our LAST Chrysler product. Had a bad time on a 1999 300M too. NEVER again!!

I'm about done with jeep and the issues on this thing. Already been in 4 times including replacing the cat about 6 months ago.

So my jeep is "ready" to pick up. Evidently the soot build up and particulates clogged up everything and shut my jeep down. I need to see what the paperwork says, as his VM was so hard to hear...they cleaned everything and did a forced regen. Has anyone else had that issue after getting their CAT replaced?

I would of thought all the earlier issues would of been addressed and corrected with all the "fixes" jeep has implemented. This is the 4th time my jeep has been in the shop for this. 2 times they tried flashing and then replacing the CAT and now this.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Ours has not missed a beat since getting new cat etc. One thing I have noticed is that the distance between regens is now much much longer. Any one else notice this too? I would say this would go a long way to slowing/stopping any soot build up.

Mine's been at the dealer since 8/5. Apparently the converters are on national back order. ETA is tomorrow 8/27. More details in my rant: Ineptitude at its highest degree

That simply cannot be true.... I was diagnosed with needing a cat on 8/24 morning, ordered 8/24 afternoon, arrived at 9 AM on FED X from I assume, Chicago depot... Installed and ready to pick up at 1 PM on 8/25. 500 miles down since replacement. No MIL or any other issues since.....

Total aggregate time spent on P20EE... Less than 30 hours at the dealer, and potentially solved in 2 visits.....

I feel for all of you enduring this long term pain....

I wish I could say it isn't true, but here I am. I will ask my Jeep Enhanced case manager about your experience tomorrow. Do you happen to have a part number I can share with them? Maybe there's more than one type of converter?

Google search shows that as "pipe-exhaust" Are you sure that's the converter p/n?

Well it says that on the repair form, but I can assure you it is the new cat....
It is the big round canister right behind the DEF injector and is a good 3 ft long. Almost goes back to the rear axle.....

I guess the converter must be considered an exhaust pipe in Jeep's perverse lingo. Thanks for the ammunition. I'll see what lame excuse they come up with when I call them. This whole situation is surreal. Hopefully they didn't order the wrong part again. BTW I just ordered the injector shield because I have already had an injector replaced under warranty. 9 months and 19K miles and it's been in five times for various issues, had all four wheels, a DEF injector, the radio and now the converter replaced.
