Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

You want the AB or AC part, not the AA part. The AA part will put you right back where you started.

I just got the Jeep back after 22 days in the shop. They installed catalytic converter part #68243370AC. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the ultimate fix.

All the AF owners will feel the same way when AG is released to finally fix the problem.

GDE has the AZ version already but it's $650!

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Well my new cat went in yesterday (Part # 68243268AB) into the Jeep; must be other owners up here with similar issues because the service guy mentioned that someone else needed the part and asked if it was available!!! Good thing he held it for my vehicle. We will see how long this lasts with no fault codes.

On another note, they ordered the wrong part for my cruise control so ONCE AGAIN, next week, I have to run back to the dealership and leave the vehicle. Is there no accountability these days anymore, or concessions on the dealer's part? Do people have nothing but time to run around, run around run around??? And all they do is say "sorry about that"!

Heh. Pretty sure the AZ version will be complete deletion of the DPF/SCR and replacement with a straight pipe... we'll need the PPEI tune for that.

Well, i'm at the end of week 8 with no jeep. They said a new program is in the works and should be released within 3 weeks.

8 Weeks? Seriously? Can you invoke the lemon law in your state?

It's the first code this thing has ever thrown in over a year of driving. Hope my resolution is better than some that I have read. Will keep you posted....
Some get it early, some get it late. Many don't get it at all. Please keep us posted. I hope yours clears quickly, and permanently.

Understandable. But hang in there. It's hard to find a rig this capable offroad, this comfortable on long drives, this strong for towing, and this economical. I get 23 MPG lifetime over 21,000 miles (all hand-calc'd). Upthread when I was fighting my P20EE battles I had an Enterprise rental, a 3.6L V-6 gas JGC. For 700 miles my hand calc'd economy was 16 MPG. Different rigs, same driving mannerisms, and yet a 50% better fuel economy with the Diesel. Not to mention the long range we get with our CRDs. Yes, I am a fan of this rig.

Good luck and hang in there, it will get better.

8 weeks. Unbelievably, painfully, too long! Good luck, and may The Force be with you.

And May The Fix be with you too.

Here's an update on my P20EE woes and fix: my JGC just turned 21,000 miles the other day, so that has been 10,000 P20EE-free miles since mine was finally fixed. Many CRD owners have gotten fixed for P20EE, and many many more have never, luckily for them, had the problem at all. So if you're in the midst of this problem, hang in there. There is life on the other side of this code. And keep the faith, we all have such great rigs.
