They started work right away but didn't have the sensor to replace the broken one.
Is it being covered under the original warranty?

Oh yes, they repaired it all under warranty and provided me with a rental. One thing that vexed me about the rental was that my wife wasn't allowed to drive it even though she drives the jeep all the time as it is our family vehicle. I guess because her name isn't also on it. Otherwise, I'm just over 72k miles now and haven't had any recurrence *knock on wood * the new cat smelled all-to-be-damned when I first got it back but that's to be expected.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

I started this thread one year ago, and in that year I've driven 18,000 more miles and have had more problems. I am pursuing a Lemon Law case and started this thread, Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?. In the first post is my summary of dates and mileage and events (MILs, warning messages, servicings). So far I've lost over 50 days with my rig in the shop.

I'm anticipating a buyback and will want another CRD. I really do love this rig, even though I've experienced some teething problems. It is perfect - comfort, luxury, good off-road capabilities, great MPGs for a rig like this, can get over 800 miles on a tank. The P20EE story continues...

Good luck on the buy back. I am currently waiting for my replacement... And I too ordered another diesel.

Re: MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

I'm signing into this thread to happily report that my 2014 P20EE ordeal is over. I picked up my lemon law replacement today and I now have a brand new 2016 JGC CRD in my driveway.

More here: Possible buy-back, or other recourse? What can I reasonably expect from Jeep?

Sorry if I missed it. But how many miles did you have on the lemon?

40K but you know what? I really think all the bugs were shaken out of it. Irony of ironies, I filed my case at 30K when I had the most recent problems. The service manager at the dealership put his best diesel mechanic on it. This was back in Dec / Jan, about. Since then and while waiting on the FCA paperwork, I took it on a 7,000 mile road trip and it was absolutely trouble-free on that trip and so nce I returned. 10K trouble-free miles, total. Not even a hiccup.

I think Jeep / FCA will auction it off. Somebody is going to have a very very good CRD JGC for pennies on the dollar.

Its VIN is 1C4RJFCM5EC299853. I should keep a watch for it to see where it ends up. I think it'll be a good runner for many many mile.

Anyway, 40K on it now, Dom.

MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

Copy that. I just got my jeep back for head replacement and not it has a different shutter on the motor when getn of the throttle. I love This jeep but I think I will get a new one too. That's with the trade assistance thing they offered me. But I'm going to check on the lemon law stuff. Pretty sure it's way different in ca.
