MIL & P20EE again & again & again...

My 2014 JGC CRD has 11,108 miles on it. I bought it new 10 months ago.

The MIL came on again today, exactly 80 miles and 2 days after picking it up from a 2-day service where they replaced the catalytic converter to address another P20EE code. This is the fourth time. All three previous times that the MIL came on were for P20EE codes.

This one, it's likely P20EE again. I called the dealership right away and made a service appointment for Monday.

There's 2 sensors and an injector that have to be removed/reinstalled. possibly something got missed. CAT replacement & new software seems to fix it for most right away.

After having my catalyst replaced I had the MIL come on again around 50 miles. Pulled the code crying as I expected the P20EE. It was a different code that was related to the heater for the DEF. The wire connector was repaired and all is good now.

So you have the new cat and still got a code?? Man I was hoping that was THE fix for this issue. Let us know if it ends up being an unrelated code please. My wifes is at 5k and 7 mos old and perfect so far, but I am expecting every single one to need the fix. Is everyone else with good luck so far thinking it is inevitable to need the new cat?

Just got this code again for the 3rd time. 1st time it went off of its own accord. 2nd time it was reset at dealers who said it was fixed by the update. Well just as was experienced by my son the light came on after a few hundred miles. He had a lot of parts replaced and as I write this his vehicle is still in being serviced. I will bring mine in again but have no expectation that they have a clue as to how to fix it. Oh my son had injectors, pumps and catalytic changed. One note is that my son contacted the lemon law group and it seems that they are very interested in pursuing this problem.

I dropped her off yesterday morning and they've had her for two days. Today they called to say they have to contact Chrysler (with some kind of 'star call', or something like that, I didn't quite get the words he used). The code was P20EE again, and they've already done everything they're supposed to for this code, so basically they are stumped.

They said they'll need the car through at least Thursday.

Thankfully they gave me an Enterprise car rental, and at least it's a 2015 JGC Laredo with the V6 gas engine. This is actually the third Enterprise rental they've given me due to P20EE since June, the second time was last week (Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 V-8 Hemi that time - BIG truck. Thirsty too.).

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's a good sign when the dealership's shuttle driver and service personnel recognize me by face. The guys at Enterprise do too.

Mine is in the dealers hand now for the code. They have had it since Monday. No reports yet. My wife did hand them the TSB and stated we would like it fixed the first time and not the third like the TSB wants. We shall see....

I know what the P20EE code is but what does it actually mean? Since it doesn't seem effect the drive ability, and it appears that the new cat, pump and injector replacement is not working, is it possible that the last and only fix would be to just wipe the code from the computer as if it never existed? Is there some law on the books that says every diesel sold in the US has to monitor the SCR in this fashion?
