Question MY 14 Build Dates vs. Gremlins and Failures

It seems like the consensus on the board is earlier builds have more problems (makes sense, but want to be sure this is an accurate assessment).

If I may be so bold, can folks that have experienced serious or multiple malfunctions please post a brief synopsis of their issues as a reply in this thread along with their build date (or approximate build date) as the "title" of your replies?

Admins, if this thread is better-suited for the WK2 general forum (or Troubleshooting/Problems/Service), feel free to move it. Me personally, I'm more interested in diesel-specific issues, as I'm looking to pick up a diesel WK2 when I move back to the 'states this summer.

January 14 build, limp mode at 872 miles

That seemed to be the case when I was researching MY14 issues as well. Most of the issues seemed to have been solved with November and later builds.

However, I have a build date of January this year and had the "service electronic throttle control" warning along with limp mode about two weeks after delivery. This forum and the other forum have examples of this behavior. One was fixed with an engine wiring harness replacement and the other was related to the DEF tank heater relaying.

I haven't had the Jeep for a few days now. When they get an answer then I'll post up the resolution.

September build and among the first of the diesels and mine's flawless so far...I do have a tiny crack in my paint on the leading edge of the fender at my headlight. I plan to touch it up vs. letting the dealer assault my ride. Other than that and updating the RA4 myself, everything's works great at 10,746 miles.
