BEN-Z is on a distinguished road
Navigation issue 15 JGC LTD

I just got a new EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee this past July and I;ve been having issues with the navigation system. Since I picked it up I've taken road trips to Toronto, Boston, and Western Pennsylvania. Each time I've compared the route given by the Jeep's on-board navigation system to the route given by Google Maps on my phone and each time the Jeep route is significantly longer (about 100 miles or so). I updated the uConnect system via USB but the issue still persists.

Any other owners experience similar issues? Any suggestions to fix the problem?

Re: Navigation issue 15 JGC LTD

I believe there are some choice like avoid toll roads, fastest route, shortest route. Make sure they are set the way you want. There is also a good chance the map has never been updated as they were late coming out with it and it wasn't cheap. Some new roads might have opened.

Good Luck

I totally agree with Bill de...in addition I have found it helps to reset the system once in a while. All you have to do is push and hold the two round dial knobs until it turns off and then release. It will come back on. Hope you get it working better

Be aware that this can affect various settings as a side effect. On my 2014, a reset/reboot like you describe will change my 24 hr clock back to the default 12 hr am/pm clock. Also some question regarding whether certain map settings get changed (e.g. speed limit warning) but that isn't as reproducible for me.
