Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Newest Rev.E doesn't work. Engine light came on and threw the regular P20EE code after driving 100 miles. This will make it the 5th time. Truck is going in on Monday and I will tell THEM to order a new def injector, pump and catalytic converter because that is where the problem lies. I asked them to order the parts last week before I got there but no joy. We'll see if they actually fix it this time.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

The TSB is pretty clear on this!, if you have P20EE active it calls for the cat converter to be replaced. just flashing a new rev level won't do much as the damage is already done.

About 2000 miles on new Cat and Rev "D", if it makes it past 2500 miles (1st error code I got when new) I'm more comfortable with this being the fix, new software+new cat.

I've had the fuel injectors replaced, the line to the injectors replaced, and had to have my exhaust filter manually cleaned because it wouldn't regenerate normally. I'm wondering if I should go ahead an get the lemon law wheels in motion. Definitely keep me posted on your outcome!
Just over 10 days since they sent me home with the new flash, check engine light is back on. Starting to look for a new vehicle, calling the Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board on Monday to report it as a lemon.

One of the last codes my JEEP spewed had something to do with it not meeting the emission's standard. I remember reading somewhere that the EPA wasn't signing off on the JEEP, which was one of the reasons for one of the several delays on its release. JEEP kept saying everything was a software issue. You have to wonder if they hacked the software to produce (unsustainable) results to pass the EPA tests and now we're paying the price.

I urge anyone that is experiencing a decrease in mpg after the TCM flash open a complaint with jeep corporate. They have given me 5 years of free oil changes to try to make me happy about my jeep getting 5 less mpg.
Doesn't mean much to me but it's better than nothing.
I did complained and they opened a case, but after this temperatures start dropping and winter blend diesel was put in use, so I told Chrysler to close the case and I 'll be calling them in spring.

Have a citation for that? There were a lot of rumors swirling around this echo chamber about the initial delays, but as far as I know the delay was ultimately just due to an assembly problem... they neglected to install the DEF tank.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

past the 2500 mile mark on new software/cat - no CEL yet!.

They must be messing with other area's of the software, noticed in rev "D" , if you put it in tire-jack mode, it no longer comes out of that mode automatically (it used to) you manually have to uncheck that mode with this version.

Please elaborate. Are you saying it will stay in tire jack mode even if you drive at high speed? That is the only way I am aware of to have it automatically exit tire jack mode on earlier revisions. If they removed that it would be silly.

Was there some other scenario where tire jack mode would auto-disable on the older firmware revision? If so, that sounds dangerous.

Tire jack mode disables quadralift temporarily. Quadralift will always autocorrect the vehicle towards a balanced posture (to some degree even when the vehicle is powered off). When you lift the vehicle on jack quadralift will try to compensate for the unbalanced wheel height which is something undesirable when the car is on jacks. You get to this mode by selecting Controls->Suspension->Tire Jack mode in UConnect.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Here is an update on my status: Today, I got the PCM update for TSB 18-018-14 REV. E, and the SCM (steering) update for the recall. They also installed a new DEF injector to address the P20EE. My P20EE occurred about 2,700 miles ago and went away about 2,400 miles ago. It probably did not fix anything, but I have a new DEF injector. No new CAT.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Well, 1st snow of the season and where do you think my Jeep is???? One hint, can you say P20EE? Anyway, need to keep my sense of humor. Dealer just call me and said I was right,(imagine that), with the help of the Garage), I need a new pump, injector and a cat. The cat is on back order for 30-45 days. Guess I'm not the only one with the problem. He said I can come pick it up and it was OK to drive until the parts come in. It's time to take this T&C mini van back and get my truck.
