Went to my dealer three times to turn lite off and forth time wife was told "we now ask you run with the CEL the "on" as we need to wait for instructions from Chrysler (!!!). So the dealer is telling me to operate a new 2014 model truck under warranty with that lite on..... What if something else went bad like fuel rail problem or map problem or turbo mishap etc? This makes me a unhappy person and they tell my wife and not me. Now that revision D of theTSB is out I am going back to them and get the ECU re flashed. But the whole thing has left me upset.
If it makes you feel better, it is futile to reset a CEL after it has proven to reoccur. The code is already in pending status soon after the reset and sets the CEL after certain drive cycle conditions are met anyways. It comes right back.

Until the mechanical or electrical issue is repaired, the code will persist. If it's emissions related, drive it. It shouldn't harm anything. I drove 2k miles after my first P20EE and before they finally got a Catalytic Converter swapped.

So what are the codes?

Does anyone know any official pickup percentages of diesel vs the gas engines? The diesel is so suiting to a large heavy off-road SUV I can't believe more people don't get it.

Originally 10%. Ecodiesel exceeded sales expectations and they have increased production to 20% of 1500s produced.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Today, I got the PCM flash for TSB 1801814 Rev D. The Technician missed that the TSB now has a DEF level reset in addition to the flash, so I had them take it back in to do the reset. I will not be able to give much of a report on results for several weeks since I will not be driving it much.

Are you getting a CEL? Or just shudder? I don't thin shudder is addressed in this TSB, just emissions.

Just hit 20k. I'll be damned if they expect us to replace our cats every 20k. This vehicle wasn't ready to be produced.

18k is when mine.started the P20EE. There is a redesigned cat in the works. Also, I suspect the new TSB is tweaking whatever is killing the Cat. I'm thinking the raw diesel or heat from regen is damaging the cat.

Chrysler is mandated to warranty emissions equipment for an extended time and miles so they MUST get this right. I think it depends on the state laws but 8yr/80k is typical.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Hoping a new CAT will arrive soon for me!!!, since Jan 2014 I've had 12 occasions where the CEL got tripped P20EE , Won't run ect & 8 trips to the dealer and still have P20EE and CEL, heck one time had not left the dealer lot yet. Dealer very helpful but think their hands are little tied as well.

Let's call new CAT a birthday present for the Jeep as my build date is Nov 21

17000 miles on it.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Same boat here. In fact, I type this as I sit @ dealership. Got the P20EE code. All updates have been applied. They are planning on replacing the cat. I told them that a new cat is coming out soon. My GC is a year old with only 10k miles. So if it is a cat failure, that is pretty quick.
