The "good" news is that, if the DEF system is functioning, a bad Cat doesn't invoke a no start countdown and isn't harmful to drive.
We are all saying cat. Isn't that that DPF?

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Was at dealer first thing, they says 99% of GC Diesels & RAM's have outstanding open work orders for P20EE or CAT replacement.

No ETA for CAT's either.

They have no diesel on the lot and are not ordering/selling any. this is a pretty big dealership.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Maybe FCA should buy a BMW or Mercedes Diesel...take apart their CAT/DEF system an replicate it. Head scratching how this isn't a simple fix.

The dealer just called and they think mine is the NOx sensor. They are ordering and it won't be in until next week.

It's been about 400 miles, the code has not reappeared for me. Fingers crossed.

Edited: I swear my mpg has taken a hit :-/

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

After a no start condition, they flashed up REV D and I'm driving again
Also noticed after the flash the DEF QTY indicator level changed.
DEF level showed 20% more after flash, no DEF added.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Guys how is the transmission/mpgs after this flash? Or is there still a flash pending to address those issues?

I assume that's 99% from that dealer, not nation-wide.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

Had the TSB done on a new WK2 this week. Bought it Monday, flashed it on Thursday. 28mpg on the highway doing 80mph after the flash. See no issue there.

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

I've had 2 check engine lights come on for cat converter. Fist fix was a flash update, and now the fix for the second is a new injector (says the dealer). I've also had a check engine light for a failed re-gen, and a O2 sensor. While waiting for the injector to come in, i was getting shaking at highway spends (similar to when i had a check engine light for a 02 sensor), so i'm assuming it is for a 02 sensor again. From reading peoples post about the same issue with the cat converter, has anyone tried evoking the lemon law? i'm assuming a injector isn't going to fix it if the cat converter itself is bad, so i'm guessing i will be back in for the same issue a 3rd time which i believe would mean I would qualify for a lemon. Anyone have any thoughts?

Re: New ECM/TCM flash coming out

I logged in here because I have developed a poor economy and probably related regen issue. I have exact numbers for every tank of gas since new 1 year ago and my milage with my most recent tank is down by 5.96 miles per gallon versus my average driving in the exact same conditions over the last year. Along with this I've been getting a regen keep driving message every 2 or 3 times I drive the jeep now. Got me wondering if I'm experiencing some version of the same problems discussed here. Although my transmission shifting has never been bad and feels exactly the same now as it ever was. What also has me scratching my head a little bit is that with a near 6 mpg drop I would think I could notice a performance difference but this is not the case, feels exactly the same while driving. I suppose I'm going to have to see if I can pull any codes...
