Re: new to forum with 2014 GC eco diesel that has an issue
I also have "fishbites" it appears.
I have 6500 miles on mine since 11/17/13.
The first time it happened probably about 1200 miles ago, it almost felt like I had bad fuel because it seemed to hesitate under acceleration.
When I got home I drained the water separator to make sure it was not full because of winter fuel, but I only got maybe 1 ounce of crud out of the separator.
This of course did not fix the problem as I STILL HAVE the as I know now "fish bite" issue.
I will take mine to the dealer this coming week just so it can be reported as a problem.
I will be watching the thread to see those of you have parts on the way actually find the solution to the problem.
Good luck to us all who are having the problem and hope Jeep can find the fix with out major parts swap by trial and error and actually come up with 1 solution across the product line.
Its interesting that they claim bad injector. I know ford had a problem with their common rail system, the last 2 injectors closest to the fire wall were being starved for fuel because they where the last 2 injectors on the rail. They said it was because the fuel was so hot by the time it reached those injectors the fuel was boiling and did not provide enough lubricity for the injectors and they melted from excessive heat. I know this because several of my friends are die hard power stoke owners most were stock and only a few were tuned.
Its pretty bad when your local power stroke dealer keeps complete engines in stock!!! haha
Due to economic hard times the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice!!!!!
