I'm not under my jeep at the moment but do they allow easy access to the oil pan drain plug?

Good question,
yes. Although it does not show it in the prototype pictures there will be a access hole for the oil drain pan plug. We will also have our logo on it as on the recent post of the diamond plate aluminum shield with logo unless you request not to have the logo.
Best regards, Rex

Was the front sump shield tested for fitment on Summit Diesel? Just wondering if there will be any necessary modifications. Thanks.

No not directly, It is currently on our WK2 2014 limited EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee. So far (that we know of) the subframes have been the same between all WK2 models. Except for some brackets added to the 2015 which had to be removed before installing our EcoDiesel DEF Injector/Full Harness Protection Shield. Other than that everything should bolt up the same with no issues. If yours looks the same underneath as the picture I included below it should work fine. If you have noticed anything different on yours please let us know. Thanks and best regards, Rex.

Looks like I forgot to mention that a large order went in to our manufacturer for both the Transmission and Front Sump Shields at the beginning of the week. Thanks again all.

I have couple of questions I wanted to run by you on these.

- For the 2014 5.7L there is no access panel to change the oil in your sump? any plans for that or is the expected process to remove the sump every time you change the oil? I have had the stock sump off several times so I know the removal process but just wondering if there are any plans for an access panel in the future.

-For the trans shield on the 5.7L does it sit over top of the existing plastic trans shield or is it in place of the existing trans shield. looks like it sits a little lower than the existing plastic one so was thinking it may be in addition to?

-the existing plastic trans shield on the 5.7L is fairly open on the sides, your trans shield appears to close the edges in more. does the addition of metal and closing the trans in a little more have any impact on any needed heat dissipation of the trans and have you tested for that?

Thanks, glad to se some options out their now for better coverage under the 2014/15 GC
