OK,to lighten the mood here I had to read this thread 3 times because I couldn't figure how the brackets would work holding a light to illuminate the engine bay. I mean why else would one mount a light to a hood, right?

Hi, I've been meaning to get back to this, because I too did not initially understand where the lights mounted. I read the thread and the product web site and thought, for whatever reason, that the lights mounted inside the engine bay, to the underside of the hood and at the front of the hood. I thought the lights then shined through the front grill somehow.

I did not mean to rip his product. Since I misunderstood where his product mounted, I was concerned about weight and vibration, and the hood bending. That's why I said this:

Looking back at my post I can see how what I said could have come across as being snarky. No snark was intended. Now that I know where the product is mounted, all the other pictures and info make sense, in hindsight.

Thanks all for your continued support. Apparently these light pod brackets are well liked considering the orders coming in for them thanks again. Please check out our website at shieldproductions.com. there you will see pictures of what these look like, how they are mounted under hood and with light pod attached. Thanks again.
Best regards Rex

Because of that I would install round lights for this bracket, until such time as Rex has changed the angle so that the square lights are parallel to the deck.

When I'm ready to do lights for my rig, I am considering these brackets. (What happened upthread was because of a misunderstanding about where the bracket mounted, partly because of how it was described, and then I overreacted and took it personally when Rex tried to help.)

Thanks for the reminder, these have been going rather quick and its time for another run so I'm going to see if we can adjust that angle on this next run. Thanks again and best regards Rex
