If that is a fact..I want that TSB if I don't have it already! Now if they could only disable the DPF without issues...

I don't pretend to understand the relationship among how problems lead to check engine lights to EVIC Warnings but in my case if a DIY solution was found, would the fact that the problem was fixed cancel the check engine light or does that have to be reset using the appropriate means that only the Jeep Service has at this point?

Re: Odd Series of Codes (Bad DEF?)

Excursion, I have no way to prove it but i took my jeep in for 'reductant pressure too high' code. They applied the tsb...that was in June. I have had no engine codes since. But my def gauge hasnt moved since either.

Treeguy, there are a couple options between $30-$150 for you to read and reset your own Check Engine Light codes. A bluetooth obd device plus a smartphone app....or a scangauge2.

I second those suggestions. I have both. I prefer the $150 Scanguage2 which is permanently mounted inside my front console cubby. It is a programmable guage that also reads and resets codes. I use the Torque app and a Bluetooth adapter for advanced monitoring and diagnostics. Cost $30 total. I just don't like leaving an open Bluetooth device connected to my ODB2 port.

Already have several threads. Here's one that has the programming info to add EGT, DPF, and CAT temps in F to the Scanguage2.

http://www.jeepgarage.org/f222/scanguage2-xguage-codes-for-egt-76564.html#post1043211

I used a stiff copper wire to fish the cable through the back of the the cubby then routed it under the dash to the ODB2 port.
