Nice I'll probably copy that set-up and buy nicer hose-clamps for my plumbing. I just emptied mine for the first time, posted some pics over here: Catch Can Treasure

Re: oil catch can

Glad everyone is finding success in the Berger. I have 15000 miles on mine now and still going strong! I emailed the company a while back and told them to be prepared for other ecodiesel owners getting the word. Lol

Re: oil catch can

I just pulled the trigger on a burger catch can. Anyone have parts/ hose sizes/ lengths down to a science? I've been looking through the different posts but I guess I'm getting confused on the sizes from the crank case to the can and from the can to the intake. Is it 3/4" for both? or 5/8" or some combination?

Thanks in advance for the help!

3/4" all around worked for me. Only need a hose clamp on the crankcase side. By the way, I did not use the plastic clip from the original crankcase hose. Just don't crank down on the hose clamp. Friction fitting worked on the can and intake side.

Sweet! I heard about some guys using 5/8". Is that more of a snug/ secure fit? Is there anything against using a worm gear clamp on all of the connection points? Just to be safe?

I used 5/8 on the intake side while still using the stock hose and 3/4 on the pcv side.

Re: oil catch can

If we install this catch can, will this technically void the factory warranty? What model did you guys get, N54 or N55?

I don't think so. They have to prove how the damage was caused by the modification. I know the old timers and others on here are going to call the Magnuson-Moss Act bullshit and dealers won't honor it but it's still a law. Just like the lemon law everyone runs screaming to when something goes wrong on their car.

Bottom line, dealer has to prove your catch can caused the issue you're having.

If the device caused damage to the system (which it cannot) then possibly. I have had my jeep in to the dealer for some other issues and they didn't say anything about it. Also if you are worried then it can be easliy put back to stock if you ever have to take it into dealer for something. The positives outway the possible negatives in my eyes.

I installed mine on Friday. Definitely underestimated the time it would take. Drove 500+ miles this weekend and zero codes. Did some real hard accelerations to test it out too
