Thanks for the info! However, there are TWO N54 kits available from Burgertuning, one for 135/1M/335, and the other for the 535. Which one of these is everyone using?

Re: oil catch can

Thanks! Will make a nice Christmas present to myself. Who knows what I've got lurking in my intake, as I (foolishly) removed the insulation foam from the top of my engine last spring...

Why do you say "foolishly" removed the insulation foam from the top of my engine last spring...

Thanks in advance.

Re: oil catch can

Because keeping al of the carbon/oil emissions crap that entering our intake track warmer helps it actually get all of the way into it engine, instead of calling up while still in the track. Of course, I'm not sang engineer, merely an Aerospace Ground Support Equipment Mechanic for 11 years, working on everything from opposed gasoline to Detroit diesels... I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me.

Re: oil catch can

Do the foam inserts actually cover the intake manifold?

Yes. There are three. One on each cylinder head, and one on the intake manifold. It's referred to as the intake manifold silencer, in the repair manual.

Thanks. What's your thoughts on removing just the two on the cylinder heads?

Re: oil catch can

Looking at most of the catch cans on ebay locally the hose fittings are between 8mm - 10mm. What's the size are the hoses to be used to hook a catch can up?

Have found 1 with 15mm fittings. Would this be ok
