Quick update. I did get the PCV disconnect code thrown yesterday while coming to a stop. I took the filter apart and found that the screen I installed atop the SS mesh shifted and was restricting the output port. It is catching oil though. I removed the screen, cleared the code with my scan gauge and remounted the can for a more permanent solution. I have put on 100 miles since the code and have had no further issues.

Could you repost when you are able? It looks like only one of your pictures attached correctly.

Have the same cat can but don't seem to be able to get it in the same place as you will not go lower enough
Can't get it past the air filter ?
Any suggestion?

Elegant solution! Now that vehicle is a US diesel, right?

Yes it is a U.S. version. To get the can along side the air box I had to remove a bolt attached to the inner fender. Hope that helps.

Re: oil catch can

Tried using 3/4" and 5/8" ID tubing without 90's on BT catch can
Still get P04DB and P051B CEL
Plan to try Mopar Ecodiesel's setup unless another option available[ATTACH]55350ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1429727966.675602.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1429727994.677630.jpg

How about trying one of the cheapo catch cans with steel mesh?

This is a US diesel, right?

Re: oil catch can

Correct US EcoDiesel
This can has only SS mesh
Switched out brass 90 degree elbows with 3/4" and 5/8" straight brass fittings
Anyone know part number for the sensors before and after the stock tubing?

Re: oil catch can

So I have decided to perform the same (similar) mod that moparecodiesel did on his ram except I am not going to drill into the metal intake tube. This is the plan: I purchased a 3 way barbed fitting off amazon. Two ends are 5/8" and the third is a 3/8" barb. The plan is to drill and attach an air fitting to the turbo baffle/muffler on top of the radiator. It's the large plastic canister on top of the fan shroud. The 3 way barb will go in right before the outlet of the catch can and I'll attach a hose from the drilled fitting to the third barb. This will help solve the pressure differential during accel by applying the correct flow to the intake sensor. The canister is very easy to get to and will only require me to take the drivers side inner-cooler hose off to allow access. This will create the same venturi effect that he created for his Ram and hopefully keep the P04db code from popping up. I ended up shortening up my hoses today and that seemed to help. The P04DB code is still showing up as pending but did not set off a CEL. The new barbed fitting won't be here until Saturday so I have a few days to test out my current setup with the shorter hoses. If no CEL pops up then I won't mess with it. If anyone is interested, here is the fitting that I purchased. Thogus Polyethylene Tube Fitting, Tee, Black, 3/8" x 5/8" x 5/8" Barbed (Pack of 10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008TT15CQ..._c4Dovb0TSC7GS

Re: oil catch can

You probably already know this, but Keep the air fittings ID small
MoparEcoDiesel used 6mm injector size ??? If remembering correctly
He also removed a baffle from his air filter intake, I think to help compensate for the air pressure "bled" off the turbo.
He mentioned the air baffle removal briefly on another video about his air intake mods
Not sure our Jeep ED have a similar baffle or if I understood the connection between his air filter and catch can mods correctly
Will need to watch them again
Also the longer tubing may be contributing to CEL. I drilled out the 90* brass elbows to 10mm (ones that came with BT CC) and had only code pending no CEL light. The elbows allowed for much shorter tubes. My Current longer tube length with straight brass fitting threw CEL with permanent code.

Re: oil catch can

Update: I contacted Sean about using 1/4" tubing and he said it would be fine. I performed the above addition today and had the infamous P051B code. My guess is that some of the boost bled from the intake was getting through the catch can and back to through the PCV valve. I removed these mods and put a plug in the turbo baffle and lost the P051B. Will see how long I can go before the P04DB comes back... I wonder if the Moroso can has a check valve or baffle that only allows flow one way? That would explain how his mod is working for him and not me...

Re: oil catch can

Just purchased this: http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_335_oil_catch_can.html

A guy on the Ram forums has had perfect success with using this catch can. He lives in Canada and I have confirmed that he has the same sensors and emissions that we do in the U.S.

Here is a link to the page on the Ram forum:
http://www.ram1500diesel.com/forum/r...odiesel-7.html

I will post an update after I install it. It looks like it has large (larger than most) in and out ports and doesn't contain a filter but has baffled plates to separate and condense the oil. I'll keep you posted.
