Oil Changes what to do?

Oh my God! Just bought a 2014 JGC with echodiesel. My dealership gave me first (3) free oil changes with the deal. The drive is 120miles round trip to the dealership + day off work. If I take it there I get Pennzoil in the engine(not a fan at all) I understand the Pennzoil full synthetic is much better than the cheap junk they sell at wal-mart, but I've never put it in any of my engines ever. I would like to use Mobil 1 ESP which is hard to find and very expensive. I would have to make sure the dealer held off his dog for a full 30 minutes for the oil to drain from the filter into the pan. Then after (3) free changes I would be switching to Mobil 1 ESP I would assume. Not an easy one for me. The cost for a do it myself is $107 right now times (3). What would you guys do? Not sure what came in it from the factory, I've heard Mobil 1. You guys know? Thanks.

Re: Oil Changes what to do?

I would ask the dealer to give me the oil and filters (for the three changes, all at once) so I can do it myself and call it good. Saves him shop labor, lets you do it on your time.

...but I suppose that would make too much sense.

Oh, and FYI: there are approximately three oil products on the market with the requisite certification for use in our engines (one type of Pennzoil, Mobil 1, and Shell Helix [maybe, if memory serves]). Normal engine oil will kill your DPF. I bought the Pennzoil because I could get it from Amazon; no one stocks compatible oil in my area.
