The Jeep Australia website says that the Luxury Group II has:

Compare Models - Grand Cherokee

Is this right? Does all this come with it?
No, the website doesn't show this properly. The Luxury Group II is just the ventilated leather. It's about a $700 option in Oz.

The off road adventure pack adds the 18 inch rims, all season tyres, and skid plates on both the LTD and Overland. It is an optional extra package. Without this package you keep the 20 inch rims and no skid plates.

On the LTD the Off road adventure pack also adds the Quadra drive II rear LSD as well. And if you get this you must also option the air lift suspension (the overland has air suspension and quadra-drive II standard)

On the LTD the OffRoad pack is about $2k, plus $3k for the air suspension. On the Overland it is about $600.

Re: Overland vs Limited Dilemma

Went through all this in my buying decision. A "Loaded" Limited saves some $$ and gave me what I wanted and didn't include some things I personally dislike, like leather stitched dash and piped seats. Either way you go, if you get the one that appeals to you, you'll be satisfied.

Re: Overland vs Limited Dilemma

I guess it depends if you WANT all the extras in the overland:

Quadra-Drive® II active full-time 4WD (Not available on 3.6L)
Quadra-Lift™ air suspension
CommandView® panoramic dual pane power sunroof
Leather-wrapped and stitched instrument panel and armrests with open pore wood inserts
Real wood and leather wrapped steering wheel
Nappa Leather trimmed ventilated front seatsForward Collision Warning (FCW)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Blind Spot Monitoring(BSM) and Rear Cross-Path Detection (RCP)
Colour coded wheel arch and bumpers

I don't like sun roofs, and don't like the colour coding. I'd like the ACC, but then I don't like the sensor being where I will probably install a skid plate. Blind spot monitoring would have been good....

Yep, not sure if i want the QL suspension in the overland, how long will it last, what issues will it have in future? Front camera will have to come off for off roading, and the ORAII would be good to have also, with the skid plates...

Might have to get the Overland after all

Re: Overland vs Limited Dilemma

The standard suspension has been having ongoing issues with annoying knocking noises, they say they are close to a solution, but.....

The QL suspension is handy, but a failure out of warranty might be expensive. I got a LTD CRD with QL and ORAII for $67k in Brisbane, the Overland is around $72k. If you want the sunroof and ACC/BSM etc, then spend the extra $5k.

Re: Overland vs Limited Dilemma

I was going n the same boat 're color choices. Wanted a limited in true blue, but there weren't any and I wasn't willing to order. Happened upon a true blue overland fully loaded with tech, diesel, 4x4, ora2 and I jumped on it. I didn't think I'd like the tech stuff and didn't need the extra fancy trim, but I have to say it's super nice and really makes an impression on people who ride in the car.

I don't think you'd regret the overland. But, if price is more important than color, I don't think you can go wrong with the limited either.
