P1DB8 and P1DAA Codes Tonight

I just got these codes today. What's odd is that the Check Engine light came on and threw the P1DB8 code and then a few minutes later I checked again and the code is now P1DAA. In my ScanGauge it is showing only one code and no saved codes. And after stopping the vehicle and restarting, the Check Engine light is now gone.

Does anyone know where I can find what these codes mean? Google is just returning that it's a generic OBDII code that is manufacturer specific. Any help on this would be great, I'm hoping that it's nothing serious. Will check with my local dealer in the morning as well.

I don't trust my Scanguage2 for codes. It always shows pending codes whereas my Torque App with a Bluetooth to ODB2 adapter shows only legitimate codes. The SG2 is a great display and resets codes fine...just not sure why I get pending codes with it and not the Torque app.

Re: P1DB8 and P1DAA Codes Tonight

I cleared the p1db8 code with scan tool yesterday and it never came back so we will see what happens. Still can't find any guidance on what it might be.

Re: P1DB8 and P1DAA Codes Tonight

I just read on a RAM 1500 Diesel forum that pressing the accelerator and brake simultaneously generates a code. The thread mentioned P1DB8 but I'm not sure if this was the same code. They also mention a marginal sensor...again, ambiguous info, no details. Truck owners apparently are't as bright as Jeep owners.

Me too. I think the brake and accelerator have to be pressed simultaniously. I hold the brake first then raise RPMs to launch and never had an issue. Just reporting what I read. Its was mentioned somewhete on here as well. I think the throttle is chopped if the brake is hit at the same time. Many makers adopted this after the Toyata scare. I may try it today and report back.
