Poor gas mileage?

All,

I have '14 Summit that I got about six months ago and I've put 10k miles on the clock.

In total the Jeep has approximately 50k on it and spent much of the last 10k on snow tires getting approximately 26-27mpg.

I swapped all seasons about 1000 miles ago (two tanks of diesel), and now I'm getting 23-24MPG.

Seems pretty average no?

I'm going in for an oil change soon. Are there any other questions I should be asking?

Thanks!

Have you changed your fuel filters yet?

Were the tires you put on the Jeep the same diameter as stock? Only other explanation is rolling resistance is much worse on the tires you have. Also what speeds are these mph figures for?
I get around 29 with my stock Fortera's...

On my '14 Summit, for my daily commute I only get 19-21 on average, lots of Chicago stop and go. On a really good day with no traffic I manage 22. Cruise set on the highway at 75 I get 27. If I set the cruise to 65 I'll get 28-29. Not sure where people are getting 25-30 in normal driving.

And interestingly, on my Yukon Denali I get better mileage with the winter Bridgestone Blizzak snows than on the summer Duelers. No clue why.

With our '14 Overland we are normally getting 24 mpg mostly city. I did average 27 mpg on a 1000 mile trip with cruise set to 71mph for about 90% of the time.

The mileage seems to be improving the more we drive it, still a newbie with only 13000 miles on it.
Same here, my daily rolling average is about 24.5 in mostly city driving... not stretching its legs at all. Will easily get 28-29 at 75 MPH on the interstates. Over all I am happy with that....
I will say when it was new and before any "updates" I used to get 30-32 on 250 mile + trips regularly, but I think with all the TSB's and new CAT and transmission updates, I thing those actually hurt the overall mileage about 5% from new.
Have 35K now, changed fuel filters at about 25K ( and they needed it..).
New tires are on the docket on the next 6 months, Fortera's are about gone...
Overall still very happy with the vehicle, even with all the dealer visits for goofy things.....
