Price drop on '14 GC Summit when '15's arrive?

I everyone. New to the forums.

I'm looking at '14 GC Summit and can get it for $49K through Costco's pricing.

Msrp is $51,990
Invoice is $50,135

I'm wondering how much the price is expected to drop when the '15 is announced. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I think you can get $4-5K off MSRP from almost any dealer in a large market.
At least that is what is advertised here in Atlanta.

Careful on advertised pricing. Read the fine print. Some dealers factor in every rebate and discount available in the price. Ie military, recent college graduate, etc. If there are any you don't qualify for, then you pay more than that advertised price. I ran into that situation a few times when shopping. Coincidentally it was always the Georgia dealerships. :/

I got my ecodiesel limited for $5k off last year, so once the 2015s hit the lot, I expect you can do a couple thousand better, at least...you'll be limited to what's on the dealers lot in most cases.

'15 models won't be build until July and very little change scheduled until 2016

Why not look at the group buys ongoing in Washington DC and Houston TX? Also Colorado has some good pricing too.
DC is 7% under invoice with a $499 fee
Houston is 5.5% under invoice with a $125 fee

Thanks everyone. I'm in Vegas. I could fly to Houston to get one of those, but that's at least a 21 hour drive for ~$2500 off invoice. I can get close to $1000 below invoice now, so with the flight, gas, hotel....I'm probably better just waiting until summer or biting the bullet here.

I appreciate the info.

Re: Price drop on '14 GC Summit when '15's arrive?

Great Deal in DC or Virginia actually. The breakdown is posted on this site somewhere. It has hundreds of posts so it should be easy to ID. The deal is through Koons in Tysons Corner and I talked to Nader who is the point of contact I think.

But that link has the prices listed and you can spec it out and know exactly what it will cost you except there is some county tax that jacks it up a little bit over the tax you would pay on a purchase.

They were great to work with and they have quite a few vehicles on their lot so if you are close enough you can see what different models and colors really look like. My son purchased his over the phone and so did I although I did talk to Nader when I was at the dealership picking up my son's JGC.

I did not find another dealer that was even in the territory price wise so the trip was worth it for me. The vehicle is presented to you in perfect condition and they forgot that I did not want a dealer sticker on which Nadar noticed so before I left it was removed.

Interestingly, you cannot get the same deal on a vehicle that sits in their lot. They tried to get me to buy one when I was there with my son but it did not match the features I wanted and when I looked at the price it was a bit higher than what I could get if I ordered one. Guess they were counting on me being someone who wants one now and is willing to pay for it right now. I was OK with waiting.

The largest volume dealership in the nation is much closer and will give you similar pricing. Kellogg Idaho should be doable in a day if you have buns of steel.

I placed my order in Vegas and picked it up on 6 Jan 14.

Re: Price drop on '14 GC Summit when '15's arrive?

pprice 01,

FYI when utilizing the Costco at an affiliated Jeep dealer the Costco deal approx. 1000. below invoice DOES NOT APPLY TO Jeep Grand Cherokee DIESELS. It changes to 150 below invoice (at least in So. Cal.) Don't get me wrong I purchased through them and I love my eco diesel but If I would have found this site before ordering it would have been through MARK at the Houston group buy especially since it met California emissions. No if ands or buts about it. I would have been happy to fly to Houston spend the day checking things out and start my drive home the following day.
