The Jeep is great. Hats off to the guys at JNAP.

Missed this post - congrats!

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Finally wrestled the VON out of my dealer. Projected delivery of 1/30? Now I'm even more excited.

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

I've only got about 210 miles on mine since Thursday (my commute is 15 miles a day) - so Sunday has been the only day I've been able to take her out on the highways.

I love it.

So far the cons:
* The gas tank "wonkiness" on MPG and DTE but someone explained/theorized as to why and that it levels out with each passing tank.
* DEF gauge -the 0% on remote start is a petty complaint. But I am waiting for the DEF to drop below 100%
* A little lag when running music from my Ipad - petty complaint
* ECO - but I've learned it and turn it off if I feel the need for more spirited driving

Pros:
Torque
Fit and finish
Quiet
I love driving it. I like the diesel sound without it being that diesel sound.
Torque
I like the stock 18's more than I thought I would (not the tires)

As I mentioned, I've not had a lot of time to play with every single thing. So I am still getting use to it all.

I'm coming from a modified G35 so I'm having to learn how to deal with a different suspension as to not crash.

Thanks wraab. I am a few weeks behind you but will knock out a good 600 miles to get home so hope to provide some input soon...

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

As far as the MPG goes, I reset mine on the way home when I saw that it included the miles from the factory to the time it got to the dealer. After that it seems to be pretty close. It is a little odd that it now is over the MPG of the trip odometer that I reset on refill but not so far apart to take away from trying to figure out the most efficient way to drive down the road. Will know for sure at the end of the week when I refill it.

When I picked mine up the tank was @ ~ 61 DTE. I filled up the next day and it "topped off" @ a little over 20 gallons. The EVIC is telling me 21.9 MPG right now and that's with mostly city driving.

I'm going to chalk this one tank up to the anomalies during a build and delivery and reset on the next tank.

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Mine had a full tank when I filled up but was not sure how much it was driven after they filled it nor how long they let it sit idling. I got over 28 based upon the miles driven from the time I picked it up. I guess they could have driven a few of the miles shown when I picked it up but even that would not be enough to really change the calculation.

Right now after 300 miles after I filled up the trip and overall MPG is showing around 29.5 one is a couple tenths different. I think this will go up a little bit on my way home as I always get a better reading on the commute home. The jetta would reset after it sat a while so I could see the avg MPG for each leg of my commute. I really got to see the impact you can have on MPG by driving that car differently. I was really able to alter the average on the computer by as much as 5 or 6 MPG and sometimes more. It did not directly correlate to the mileage I got by checking it at fill up but my MPG would increase by a 2 or 3 over 5 or 600 miles. Winter fuel and driving is less kind.

Given that with the Jetta I would get 2 MPG increase with summer blend I think that I will really be pretty impressed when the summer rolls around. Given that the JGC has so much power I really am able to go up the hills at a good speed while still only sipping fuel.

I see you are in CA so should not be all that long now for you. I traveled all day and missed Milous post that mine is at the dealership. I am expecting Mark to notify me in the next day or so. Now the waiting begins until I fly there on the 4th to pick it up...
Cheers

I don't know if you ever look at river oaks' inventory...but I think these are the first photos of your Jeep!

Since you can't look out the window and admire it, I figured maybe you would enjoy looking at your computer screen and admiring it!

That would be an awesome trip. I have been wanting to do that and the TAT on 2-wheels for a long time...with kids and work it will likely be a long time before I get the chance!

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Congrats fun2ride, and you are a better man than me. I would be looking on line for a ticket at one of those sites that sells left over seats. Two and a half weeks knowing it is sitting there. I would just go crazy.

Cannot wait to hear your report on it.
