Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Did you order the MOPAR rock rails?

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Well with any luck wraab will get his whip today and Grandmaster I see you are leaving Salem, IL which is a good thing....
One thing on the rock guards they really cause you to stretch to get in and out and also you will rub your pants on them every time. I test drove one at the dealer that had it and for me that was one reason I will not order them. SO is 5'3" and I am over 6' and I rubbed on them so I know she would too...

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Yes, I ordered the Mopar rock rails. That is interesting about rubbing your leg on them. Do you think if you set the suspension to the park mode you would still rub? Or maybe park in the highest setting making you more likely to use the step?

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

I just don't know. It was a quick test drive and I think once you have them on you can find an easy way to not rub on your pants. No matter what I would do my SO is too short and she would rub on them. I can just reach and not rub on them. I love the way they look however and they will sure help door dents since they are out a ways from the body...

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

Interesting to hear about the rock rails, I test drove a GC with running boards and it was horrible to try and step in/out. I didn't think the Rockrails stuck out as far.

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

I've heard that complaint about the rock rails. For me it wouldn't be an issue as I'd adjust accordingly after the first few times. But yeah, having a short(er) SO is always a concern.

I got the Husky Xact Contour mats (front & second row) based on the reviews/recommendations of others on this forum. I like them much better than the WeatherTechs. I did get the WT cargo liner since there wasn't one that went along with the floor mats I got.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Just took delivery of my V6 Overland black/frost. Ordered 11/15, shipped 12/27, arrived at dealer 1/8. They didn't clean it up very nice. Will do a full Zaino detail this weekend. Shifts are very smooth. All panels aligned well. Driver door takes some effort to close. Ordered some yellow fogs. Need mats and some tint. Other than that I'm ready to put some miles on.

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

jwall04 - Congrats! Mine is on the ground awaiting a transport to the dealer...which is not scheduled until 1/14.

fun2drive - I think Milous must have made a mistake...no way your jeep is on a railcar! HEHE. Just kidding! Congrats!

Congrats!

I had told them to not wash mine - and they didn't. But that means they also didn't clean any of the chalk numbers off the windows or sticky residue. They ended up washing it - not well, but I was more worried about the paint and not their level of detailing. And it's been drizzling here.

I'll be doing the same thing this weekend - a good detailing.

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

wraab
Congratulations. I too will be giving Mark what I want done and will ask him to have it done early not when I get there since it will be two weeks before I pick it up. No excuses since they have time and I will check with Mark to be sure it is done.
Looking forward to your write up.

Grandmaster you lucky dog you are just a few days away. Yes I am SURE that MOTS was wrong no way should mine finally be on railcar after a mere 23 days in Detroit ha ha.

Looking forward to hearing your post about picking the SFU up.
Cheers to both you guys...
