So just got a call from the dealer. Despite obviously being damaged during assembly they are refusing to repair because they claim Jeep Australia would never sign off on it as it doesn't meet JA's warranty guidelines.
Interesting that the warranty book specifically states " The Basic Warranty covers the cost of parts and labour needed to repair any defective item on your vehicle - that is, defective material, workmanship, or factory preparation"
Never mind that Australian consumer law clearly states:- "You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail
to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure."
This is one of the few occasions having a sister whose a lawyer is actually beneficial
