Realistically down the road

Just wondering down the road when our 2014 WK2's get 10-15 years old and the DEF injection system fails and DPF is plugged solid? Some people will be removing these and will be replacing these parts of the exhaust with straight pipes. Will we be able to drive our vehicles with these items removed? Will it simply be a programming thing with the computer and removal of DEF pump from the DEF tank? What are people's thoughts on these down the road? I will be using my DEF parts as long as they continue to work and warranty is on. What are our options for our Jeep's future? Thanks.

Thought I read a post about being able to remove the whole system. The post was complete with instruction and everything. You would have to search back a bit in this same forum (2014+ Ecodiesel) and you will find it.

Realistically I prob won't have it by then.....I always say this one is my forever vehicle, but somewhere around 5-7 years I get the itch and something dramatically better is out there....!

If you disable then you're going to have to wind up removing them. Having that stuff run through the DPF is trouble.

You will be required to maintain the emissions systems as determined by your state.

If it's good enough to pass California, it will be good enough for the rest of us.

Jet ski. Giv me a pm and I will giv you my telephone number for you to call me and I will tell you how it works. I will not type it out on any email or pm or on this forum.

My buddy that is up there with CA dmv gave me the run down. It has worked for me and my buddies ever since they started smog checking us diesel guys. No way my 2006 cummins would even pass a visual check let a lone the plug in.

And it has nothing to do with a part to hide or trick the emission.
