Regeneration DID message confusion

Hello I need some clarification. I have a 2015 that I took delivery in early February. I was driving the other day and got the message "regeneration in progress continue driving" I looked up the messages in the diesel supplement for the DID on this system and it doesn't have this message. The message in the supplement are as follows:
Exhaust Filter XX% Full Safely Drive at Highway
Speeds to Remedy

Exhaust System ó Regeneration In Process Exhaust
Filter XX% Full ó

Regeneration Completed

Exhaust Service Required ó See Dealer Now

Exhaust Filter Full ó Power Reduced See Dealer

So my message didn't have anything about the percent full of my DPF filter. So I continued drive for about 8 minutes got to my destination. When I restarted the car the message was gone. According to the book (which does not explain this message) and this website, I should of got the regen message again when I started home then a regen complete. Well my assumption was it probably burned off enough particulate so it never got back into regen. So what is this message? Why is it not explained in the book? Is this a normal regen? Why didn't the message read the % full or tell me regen was complete? Anyone know what's going on, I could use the help. Thank You Mike

Re: Regeneration DID message confusion

it sounds like this message but yes odd it should be verbatim on DID as in the manual:

Exhaust System — Regeneration In Process Exhaust Filter XX% Full — This message indicates that the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is self-cleaning. Main- tain your current driving condition until regeneration is completed.

How many miles on your 15? Maybe worth giving FCA a call or have the dealer get an answer?

Re: Regeneration DID message confusion

I get the "Exhaust Filter XX% Full Safely Drive at Highway Speeds to Remedy" when I am in park, I get "regeneration in progress continue driving" when I'm driving. I rarely get either and have never had any issues.

I got the message while driving, this one: "regeneration in progress continue driving"
Have you noticed the diesel supplement book you have does not have this message described? Mike

That is exactly the message I get; nothing about percentage remaining, etc., and I always get this message at the most inopportune times, like when I'm pulling into the parking lot for a dental appointment, or just arriving at the office in the morning for work.

There are many things in the diesel supplement and owner's manual which do not match real life experience on my ecodiesel. For example, resetting the oil life counter on my vehicle requires several presses of the brake pedal in rapid succession in the "run" position, engine off to reset the counter. The owner's manual says you can reset it by pressing a few buttons on the steering wheel. Not so with mine.
