Re: Rocky Road Bumper Bar/ Winch & ACC

Here is a quick video of my setup. I don't really have picks of the grill and Velcro.

If I buy the honeycomb grill insert I thought about using magnets to hold the center grill section.

You've also put in an air tank and pump. Any link to that install?

If you add this to you're GC - I want to see it and perhaps watch the installation.

I'm thinking that bumper/brush guard is something I want. I've had to take off my license plate three times now and straighten it from people baking into the front of my GC.

That's a good idea. They'd have to be really strong magnets I think to withstand all the bounces from off road and weather.

I believe I'll be ordering the kits within the next few weeks. Military has me on a trip to TX for 7 weeks but will be looking to do this the first part of April.

It's about half way down on the linked page. The thread has a lot of different installation ideas depending on which options and engine you have.

If you wouldn't mind I'd like to drop by sometime during your project, before things go back together.

I found your install as item #50 in that thread. Your really making the project useful. Thanks for the link. Who markets that particular airpump system?

Re: Rocky Road Bumper Bar/ Winch & ACC

I was able to mount up my brothers winch kit on his 15 overland in WA before I moved to Italy for the military. The only thing we didn't get finished is the grill mod. As of now the center grill is still removed and I have yet to find something that looks to keep the original look. rdcastan could I bug you for some pics of your Velcro setup? from the video and such it looks factory. I'd like to do that as well. Thanks.

It's the ARB High Output Compressor ARB 44 Accessories | ARB Compressors - ARB 4x4 Accessories . I also had to source components to relocate the air intake and compressed air output locally and through Amazon. I ended up locating the switch inside of the center console next to the 12v plug. So far it's been working great. I've used it numerous times to air up after airing down to 18 PSI for off-roading.
