Since the oil properties are changed, a reflash for oil life monitoring, etc surely would be needed.
The TSB for the 2016 shows a reflash for the ECM and TCM and a sticker showing the new oil weight.
This is really frustrating. The SA does not know what flashes were completed nor what some of the codes mean. To his credit and that of his boss they are on the horn with Jeep today to decipher exactly what was done and why and if the car was flashed for T-6 or not.
I'll report back when I know more. I'm taking the car back in tomorrow AM so they can look it over and make any adjustments.......they overfilled by about 0.5qt. and according to the paperwork only added 8qts. of fresh oil/T-6. That strongly implies the old oil wasn't completely drained.
Also the car seems to run differently/better in particular the pedal feel/response seems much different.
They evac'd and refilled the A/C system and it works MUCH better than before. The air went from milquetoast to ferocious - must have been contaminated as the pressures were right on before.
SA would not confirm if they drained and refilled the '16s on the lot - but he did say they all deliver with T-6.
