RRO Bumper Bar Install Complete!

Hey guys,

I slaved away for almost 5 hours yesterday, but I got my bumper bar from Rocky Road Outfitters put on yesterday. The stuff I anticipated to be the hardest wound up being super easy and vice versa. I have the ACC and QL as well and I have zero issues with either after install. My ACC still works perfectly and I actually think its more centered now.

The welded nuts definitely should have been tapped before it shipped, but I learned the hard way and did it after trashing a set of bolts. I went with a countersunk option on mine and kept the whole front of it flash and flush. Drilled some holes to mount my plates too!

Nice! Is that the one where you can also mount a winch? I was looking at that one, and was curious about how it would affect quadra lift and ACC. Sounds like they keep working just as before.

Yup! I didn't get the winch option but I can def upgrade if I want in the future. Didn't wanna mess with the wiring and I can't see myself using the winch enough to justify it. For myself at least.

But yea but lift was a really simply piece that attaches to the passenger side of the bumper and connects to the compressor. I psyched myself out thinking it would be difficult but it was easy once I actually had the fascia off. ACC was super easy too I actually got it aligned right on the first try. Test driven and everything. Super happy how it turned out.

Can you remove the lower fascia after installing the brush bar?

Not without taking the bar off first

Thank you. A little bit of a hassle then. Nice to know.
Anybody knows a bull bar that you do not need to take off to remove the lower fascia?

The other ones I know of mount where the tow hooks are. So you lose your type hooks and then still have to take it off for access to taking the lower fascia off

Chiefs is one of those that you need to anchor it to the tow hooks lol. Now that I'm thinking about it, because it's hidden behind the rro bumper, you could probably just cut the plastic more on the lower fascia and be able to slide it up and down behind the bumper.

There are holes in a similar fashion on the lower fascia like in my pic.

Thanks. Leaning towards chief; easier installation. Will need to find out if they have a US store. Shipping costs are extreme from AU.
