Re: Seafoam yay or nay?

The BG244 is now in the tank with about 15 gals diesel. Yellow fluid with a heavier viscosity than diesel. Frankly looks a lot like my Stanadyne conditioner I used in my SuperDuty.
Will report observations once consumed...

Will this help clean the intake for all the EGR crap?

In the case of fuel additives, I'm not sure I'd want to use anything that were to remain chemically active *after* it had been through combustion.

Re: Seafoam yay or nay?

Update
I have a lot of experience with Stanadyne for my Super Duty. Frankly I could not detect any benefit using Stanadyne as recommended for 179K miles.

The BG244 is the same no detectable difference. My fuel mileage is the same the idle is the same accel is the same.

That leads me to conclude that at 34K miles the injectors are staying clean.

Not disappointed at all as it is possible I could be on the cusp of some injector gum issues or not.

Nothing remarkable to report...
