Let us know what you come up with. I've been under mine looking at options. Here are some design considerations:
1. Heat management. The DPF funnels its heat directly through the injector area. Enclosing that area could lead to premature failure. A heavily perfed plate would be best but not too open since water pressure Has been shown to damage the injector. Perhaps vents could be cut to water from a forward direction (like when you splash through deep water).
2. DEF line and signal cable routing. It crosses under the frame. It is slightly recessed where it crosses on mine. A plate could pinch the line.
3. Attachment points are challenging. I'm at a loss here. The center skid plate on ORA2 equiped GCs has holes but it is pretty far back.
We need a good design and I, for one, would be grateful for any input and collaborative effort anyone with skills can offer.
