With the Hemi or Diesel you also get the beefier ZF transmission that's built in Germany versus the lower-spec model licensed by Chrysler and built here for the V6's. Maybe German peerage is not important to you, but what was important to me in the difference between the two is all the problems that the V6 transmissions are having vs almost none for the hemi/diesel variant.

I'd be curious to know how widespread the V6 trans shifting issues actually are.

I see a lot of complaints in this forum but how indicative is that of the real world? People have a tendency to post when they have complaints but not much when things work the way they're supposed to.

Not trying to belittle the problem some people are having with this but I haven't had any issues with mine and I'm approaching 10K miles.
