Do you mean the front axle skid plate?

Well I thought it would the same part number as the rest: 82211995

But i just crawled under my MY14 CRD and it has this part number: 68141693AA

Thanks for the info, I'll inquire with my dealer to see which part they have.

They don't know what they are doing.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

My dealer acknowledged today that he screwed and ordered the wrong parts. The right parts are on order now. He was very nice and professional about it, which I was happy to hear since I will have a long relationship with them.

(Rather off topic) Chief Products has mentioned having a US distribution or doing a group shipment to the US. Maybe if several of us got together we could make a group shipment to the US.

Cool!

So in other words, "false alarm". There is no different front axle skid-plate for diesels and non-diesels.

I installed my front skid and tow hooks yesterday with no problems. Need to run the fuel down so I can install the fuel tank and xfer case skids later. Looks to be strait forward on those.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

I, too, just finished installing skid plates on my '14 GC overland CRD and the only difference i can see in the transfer case skid plate was there was a steel doughnut i had to remove to clear the sensor strapped to the side of the catalytic converter ( or DEF device? ) install for front plates and transfer case protection was about 1.5 hours

next.... fuel tank skid plates

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

I like the chief skid plate from AUS but its likely to be well over $400 U.S. with shipping and thats for the thinner 3mm one. Ouch.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

Has anyone fitted the chief skid plate with the 2014 ECB bar?? The website doesn't report it has happened. May have to take a punt and just order it. Will take it down to Prestige Offroad who are fitting the bullbar, they reckon they will MAKE it fit come hell or high water!! Just hoping it is a straight bolt on!

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

Just ordered the 3mm skid plate. Having it sent to Prestige and will let you know how it goes fitting it to the WK2 2014!! Spoke to Bill earlier and doesn't sound like it will be an issue. He also mentioned the final bit of underbody protection is nearly complete and ready for release, once that is done I'll be ready to deploy the Jeep to Iraq!!
