I'm not so sure. Looking at my Authentic Jeep Accessories brochure (Australian version), it lists two skid plates for the Front Axle. Front Axle (part number 82211995) and Front Axle Diesel (part number 82213094). There is only one listing for both the transfer case plate and fuel tank plate (so no difference between petrol and diesel).

I've ordered these for mine, and the dealer has written in Front Axle Skid Plate (diesel) on the invoice.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

After reading this and other threads on the topic, I decided to go ahead and buy the full ORATII Skid Plate package for my '14 Summit CRD.

I found all three parts numbers available on Amazon and they were all PRIME so 2-day shipping. But they were much more expensive than MoparOnlineParts.com...except when you factor in shipping.

Then I noticed that MoparOnlineParts.com was having a Black Friday - Cyber Monday promotion for free shipping on any order over $99.

That makes my order total $436.26 (tax free)! If you're in the market now would be a good time to pull the trigger. Just say'n.

Fuel Tank (82211999)
Transfer Case (82211994AB)
Front Axle (82211995)

I just put them on my Summit last weekend. I ordered from my local dealer and gave him the chance to beat the lowest internet price I could find. I found a dealer that would ship them all to me for $445.00. My local dealer sold them to me for $425.00 and I had them the day after he ordered them.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

I ordered those part numbers too. Need to get my JGC CRD first, it's still sitting in inspection.

It seems that many people here are ordering the "Not for diesel" front skid plate part number. Even in the US, JustForJeeps.com sells both the gas and diesel engine versions.

The installation instructions are slightly different, so perhaps that's the main difference. Did anyone nail this down precisely, or are most people just hoping for the best when ordering the "Not for diesel" front skid plate?

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

I just installed all three skid plates last weekend on my Summit Ecodiesel. I ordered the parts through the local dealership and he checked my VIN against the part numbers and the three that I received were the three listed by the individual who started this thread. All three plates went on smooth with no problems at all. I followed the great advice of the member who started this thread and I had all three done in an hour. I found the diesel plate listed on the Mopar International site.

Re: Skid Plates on Diesel Summit

Thanks! Firsthand reported success is good enough for me.

I admit remaining curious what the actual difference is; since OP mentioned removing a part in order to make it fit, I wondered if this also might be a possibility.

Garage
I also ordered the 3 kits through my local dealer, and did remove a plastic panel used for sound deadening (it was not a skid plate as was debated somewhere). I just saw it on a shelf in my garage; if you really want a pic of it I can do that tonight. Everything fit as designed with no installation problems.
