Mine does well in the snow. If it wasn't -5F this morning I would get you some really snowy pictures...I don't want to snowblow so the 18" can stay in the driveway...plus the 2.5 ft that has gathered in the yard recently

I hear you. I keep meaning to get pics of the "Jeep in its natural element" but for some reason every time it snows [and i mean it SNOWS] here in Colorado, it is colder than a welldiggers britches and the nice warm steering wheel and seat just sorta
make it hard to get out....

Re: Snowy Travels

I've had 15" fall since midnight, and it's not supposed to let up till tomorrow morning (Maryland). My poor XJ is just about buried - the WK2 sits in the garage. Gonna have to snowblow the 1/8 mile driveway and take the $400 XJ out to try the roads. If I'm gonna bounce something off a tree or a snowbank...it won't be the WK2!!!

But I agree - the WK2 is extremely good on compromised surfaces. Kinda takes all the squirrel-fun out of it - at least I can slide the XJ around when I leave it in 2wd if I want!

Re: Snowy Travels

Mission accomplished!

Dug out the driveway and the XJ, and successfully squirreled around most of the day. 2wd most of the day, but when I was breaking virgin snow (18") and plow berms to clear a driveway the 'lazy way', I didn't even have to use low range. The old 236k mile $400 wonder never ceases to impress

The WK2 will be my ride to work tomorrow though - roads are mostly clear. We're supposed to get another 1-3(ish) tonight, but I don't see that being an issue. I just didn't want to get out today and find things a mess - if I stuffed anything into a tree or a snowbank, I wanted it to be the $400 beater...but it never missed a beat either.
