Same as most above -- just the SCR replacement and regular maintenance. We have about 61,000 miles on our 2014.

Re: so are you truly happy with your 2014 JGC Ecodeisel

Yes, most definitely, I love this rig. Two JGC CRDs so far, 60,000 total miles:
40,000 on my 2014 before it was bought back by Jeep (see signature), and now
20,000 on my 2016. Even with the problems with the 2014, I decided to replace it with another JGC CRD, when I could have bought any other car. No other vehicle has this good luxury and comfort, very good 4x4 capabilities, strong enough power and towing, and great fuel economy for what this rig does. I have reported elsewhere that I've gone 835 miles on a single tank, and I'm thinking of trying another run to see if I can go farther than that.

I plan to run mine for a long time, my goal is 500,000 miles on it. I am 55 years old and may never need to buy another car for the 30 more years I figure on and hope to walk this earth, God willing.

For my 2014 that Jeep bought back, I hope someone bought it at a low price deal because I think all the gremlins were flushed out of it. After the buy-back process started I took it for a trouble-free 9,000 mile road trip. It was and is a great car.

Phil, if you're referring to changing the tranny shifter I fully agree with you. It is a superior design but unfortunately some had trouble with it, and unfortunately there was at least one death that was possibly caused by or contributed to by it. I had it on my 2014 and loved it. Wish I had it on my 2016.

Add in the overall comfort and luxury of the Overland package and there is simply no other vehicle that compares...in my humble opinion.

Planning to keep mine at least to the 250K mile mark...
Bolding and greening mine. Totally agree, Andy.

Yes, same here too.

44,000 miles on my Limited diesel. Other than the TSBs and the 2 recalls I'm happy as hell with it.

I'm sitting at just under 33K miles on mine. Like others, I like everything this vehicle offers. 4x4, advanced electronics, comfortable yet refined interior, awesome mileage for road trips, etc. Mine is mostly a daily driver, but when I get my 2-3 vacations a year back to the mountains, I know it will handle whatever I give it.

Since the EPA notice, I've looked around at a few other vehicle in the event this turns into the VW fiasco. For the price, these vehicles cannot be beat. The new Land Rover Discovery might be a good option.

I've got just over 97,000 miles on mine and I love it. I had the cat and the heads replaced under warranty. Immediately after the heads were replaced I installed the GDE Offroad Tune and CB Engineering pipe. I love this thing and plan to keep it until it dies. Avg lifetime fuel economy including towing and before the tune is 28mpg mostly city-ish, probably 70/30.

I have 20,000 on mine and am not seeing anywhere near that MPG figure. Did you notice your MPG improve after 20K?

In general, does MPG improve as the miles build up?

Re: so are you truly happy with your 2014 JGC Ecodeisel

I just did the math. I log all fillups the old-fashioned way, pen to paper. Manually calculated I get 21.7 MPG all told, for 50/50 city/hwy driving, for all miles to date on my JGC CRD.

Not great.

Re: so are you truly happy with your 2014 JGC Ecodeisel

Answer to question in OP: yes.

Regarding mileage, in my experience it varies greatly with your driving habits. Short commutes or frequent short trips around town kill your mileage. This is due to the increased frequency of DPF regens. When my commute was 20 miles each way on fairly flat terrain although with decent traffic delays, I averaged 25-26 mpg. When I moved and my commute became 7 miles and going up/down 1000 feet in elevation each way, my MPG dropped to 21-22.

I just got the GDE tune last week and did a trip down to Colorado Springs, about 70 miles each way on the highway mostly at 75 mph. Round-trip economy according to EVIC was 31mpg, the highest I've ever seen for a sizeable highway round-trip. I'll have to give it a few weeks to see the average mpg boost but I agree with the general consensus that if you buy the Ecodiesel you pretty much need the GDE tune.

My MPG did not improve with increased mileage.

I agree it depends greatly on habits and type of commute. I should have included some amplifying information. My commute is 38 miles each way, mostly flat the whole way. There are 45 stop lights each way. I don't drive like a maniac but nor do I drive like a grandma. Im running stock size nitto terra grappler g2s, which are awesome by the way, and my jeep is a 4x4 limited. My mileage has been tracked with an app called acar, which agrees with my hand calculations. The EVIC is usually within 1 mpg of my calcs. I couldn't be happier than I am with this thing... Well maybe If they offered 3rd row seating.

Re: so are you truly happy with your 2014 JGC Ecodeisel

Meh - traded mine in with about 27k on it. I really did like my CRD but the CAT/SCR/Regen issues kinda put a damper on it. Plus the fact my service department was mediocre at best. At the end of the day, I wouldn't ever be a beta tester again on a car. For the money. it was a fantastic ride even if I lost some of the MPG due to my duratracs. I enjoyed it while I had it but not sure I'd do it again.

I love my SRT which I never felt with the diesel but now you are comparing apples to oranges that go fast.

65,500 miles, I do all oil/filter and fuel filter changes, dealer has performed other service and TSB work. Great vehicle, very few issues. CAT replacement at major 50K service only, no break downs at all.
