I now have one of each, a 14 GC, and a 15 ram eco diesel... Each has it's uses. GC is for trail exploring, plan for the ram is towing. So far, I'd say the ram engine tuning runs smoother, and doesn't seem to have the same off-idle lag like the GC.

Wtf. Jeep is their premium brand. It annoys me that they won't refine the EcoDiesel for the GC. I originally wanted diesel when I replaced my 14 GC but I couldn't stand that lag. No way could I live with that every take off.

What's the ride quality like vs the GC? Does your Ram have the air suspension?

Ride in the ram is good, has air suspension (tried both when looking, air rides better than coils). Ability to lower for entry\exit, and have the ability to gain ground clearance when needed is sweet.

GC rides better (also has air suspension), mostly I think it's the Independent rear suspension. In the ram you can tell it's a solid axle, and is harsher than the GC (not bad, but you notice). If you only drove one, either rides great for what they are.

YMMV
