So, now let's say the zip tie fix makes it tighter to frame which it does and i know for a fact it will HELP. No doubt. But really ? I zip tie lol. Ok let's say it does fix the problem 100 percent( no way , but just saying). That takes car of the water theory. What about road debris , brush/ branches. It's still vulnerable.

I'm not saying to get my plate, just put something in its way. But if you do get my plate , it is very much appreciated and just so you guys know it's all Usa made and you guys are helping create jobs no doubt.
Oh, I've already ordered the plate. I'm a belt-and-suspenders kind of guy when it comes to these things. If nothing else, it appears that the plate will prevent anything from directly impacting the injector, which is a good thing since Murphy's Law is well in effect when off-roading. However, I still think that the wiring is particularly "snaggable" since it hangs down right in the path of anything sticking up that you drive over. I was just wondering if both the TSB is completed and the Dom-plate is installed, is the wiring still vulnerable to getting snagged and thereby ripped out of the exhaust?

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

There is. I protect the part that starts at the frame around it to and protecting injector. On the outside right before my plate there's a section that crosses over to get to frame. I'm trying to figure a ad on piece that will bolt to my plate and the body to protect that section as well. But looking at body position and potential debris or water splash it's not as low as frame section harness/ def line.

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

Looking at the picture of Dom's plate installed, could you catch the injector with something backing up? Injector looks kinda exposed yet at the rear of the plate?

Yes. It is a possibility somewhat. But still more protected than nothing. Also new version is slightly longer so it covers more than first version

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

Dom's plate was easy to install and now gives me peace of mind when traversing rocky and muddy trails and going through low water crossings is no longer an issue!

FYI - For those of you (like me!) that have waited to get RRT 14-075 done. According to my local dealer, the Chrysler DEF Line Retention Kit (68257352AA) is backordered for a while!

Install notes (or cheats!)

Instead of using the nutsert for the back, I used a plastic pop rivet. See pics.

Also, I looked at all possible metal-to-metal contacts points and put some 3m electrical tape there.

I actually gave up on the speed nut. Too tight to get in there. I just zip-tied it.😜

Yeah I'm going to have longer speed nuts. Some ppl just can't get it on. Little tip is to tape it to say a Popsicle stick .
