Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

Hey guys.

So, I'm just trying to see if I can gather up as many testimonials about my plate as possible. I'm going to have a website dedicated to this DeF injector vulnerability issue and why it needs to be protected if your going to purchase an Ecodiesel wk2. I'll eventually add all the other small issue that we are having. But now , I'm obviously focusing on the injector Vulnerability and will conveniently have a " Purchase Now" button lol. I'm more than likely going to stock them. This won't happen exactly tomorrow but in the near future. Im going to knock the current group buy out the way first and get things lined up , hence me asking for some testimonials.

You can say whatever u need to say about the issue and my plate. I don't care if you talk about some of the fitment issues that came up or didn't come up for some. The tolerances were just way to on point for the amount of vehicles out here in different environments and driving conditions. That's is why there is version 2 now. I'm almost 100% sure it will not have any issues. I say almost because the manufactures do weird things sometimes and get certain little thing or make very small changes to something which might affect install. Which is the problem I ran into once on an install I had. But out of couple hundred plates I sold , hat was the one odd ball.

But any how, just saying thanks in advance ....

Please include pictures if possible as well as NAmE, CITY /state where from. And no profanity

It looks really sweet on the shelf in my garage. Maybe someday I'll have a Jeep to put it on!

Probably not the sort of testimonial you're after, though

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

All I can say is that I don't have to worry about Jeep pinning an $800 mandatory repair on me due to their design flaw! The rest of my vehicle has factory skid plates and is "Trail Rated" yet simple contact with road debris, much less a rock or even mud, renders it useless. Not any more...I am NOW 100% Trail Rated. Thanks!

How's that?

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

I had mine installed by my mechanic and recently noticed the front attachment bolt was missing. Still, drove through torrential rainstorms here in the Miami area on Monday to include powering through several areas of deep standing water. The plate did not budge and protected the DEF injection system from any damage. Dom has offered to send me a replacement front bolt and nut, but I can attest that even without those, the plate is firmly attached at two other points and offers a degree of protection and confidence that is well worth the price.

Re: DEF Plate
Really solid (over engineered) plate that looks and does the business. Something like this should be standard fitment, especially with the OR2 package. Easy install and solid as hell. I have a bit of a vibration/rattle from it so will need to adjust it or stick some rubber in there to quiet it down. Highly recommended!

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

Does anyone know Autoblog or Jalopnik editors? We should get an article in there about the lack of trail-rated ability and show pics of the preTSB setup, the post TSB (wire tie) setup and dom's plate. Which befits a real offroader...

Maybe FC will get the message and adopt this design and stop listening to the bean counters that zip ties are good enough for a trail rated vehicle.

Next time, wash the mud off! They aparently don't need much of an excuse to decline a warranty!

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

I finally got mine installed. (Was waiting for the dealership to replace the hose to the injector). The fit is excellent, modified the rear bolt to a threaded bolt instead of the insert. I do wish that there was an easier way to install that bolt in the front wheel well. I for one am very happy with the plate. Great work Dom

Re: Testimonial for DOMs DEF injector/ harness protection plate

Mine bolted right up and was installed pretty easily. I had to work a little to get the middle bolt aligned and started, but did not need to open it up to make it fit. Easily installed with bolts at three points and double sided tape at the back against the frame. No noise, rattles or vibrations and beefy as hell. I can drive through anything and am confident that I don't have to worry about a puddle breaking off the DEF injector. This is what Jeep should have designed and included in the first place and is a must have, regardless if you plan to off-road your JGC or not. Great job DOM!

Now, when are we going to see those skid plates you have talked about?
