I double-checked on the Jeep site using build and price, picked an Ecodiesel engine, then looked at what ORA II included, and the urea skid plate was not listed. If you are correct and the urea skid plate is included in ORAII, and I want River Oaks to install the DEF injector plate in Dom's thread, would they do it? I'm a little apprehensive about doing this myself.

If you pay them, I'm sure they would install them.

Re: Texas Group Buy

My Limited diesel with ORAII came with a DEF tank skid plate factory installed. The build date was 12 Sep 2013.

Re: Texas Group Buy

I checked two diesels on the lot at a local stealership - neither one of them had ORA I or ORA II, but both had the DEF tank skid plate on them. Both also had chrome two hooks. Both were overland models.

Problem isn't the tank, the problem is the harness and lines. They are exposed and unprotected. Check the other Ecodiesel thread for info on the group buy for a custom harness that many members here are ordering. I ordered one for myself.

I sent in a deposit for this DEF injector and harness skid plate as well. Based on previous posts I think that the injector will be more easily damaged than the DEF tank that came with a factory skid plate.

Jeep must have encountered this problem during testing and left it up to their customers to find a way to protect this area. I'm happy that Dom was able to come up with an injector plate and I don't mind paying for it. I'm just pissed at Jeep for all of their "Trail Rated" crap, and the badge on my front fender means nothing when a branch, some water, or snow could strand the vehicle off-road in BFE. I will buy a spare injector to carry with me for emergencies because I doubt that the smaller dealers will stock them.

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone know the part number(s)?

Also, I expect that it is easy to replace myself (if necessary) when out in the boon docks.

Re: Texas Group Buy

Milous posted a pdf of the DEF system on page 3 , Post 30, on the " Vunerable DEF Injector Wiring" thread. The part number listed is " Injector Kit, Dosage Module, P/N 68232842AA". I did a quick search and found a few places that listed it for around $200 plus shipping. I'll try to order it tomorrow.

I loaded this pdf , all of the TSB's, and all manuals on my Kindle tablet to keep in the Jeep when I travel for reference.

Re: Texas Group Buy

Dom, thanks for your update today. It can't be an easy task to do all this coordination to get the plate manufactured. We all owe you for your hard work.
