Unhappy the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

well guys the problems continue..i WANT to love this vehicle. i really do,...but 7 trips to the dealer for service and being down on the side of the highway twice in the first 40 days is getting to me in a major way....After hearing a loud swoosh noise every time i put my foot on the gas i went into limp mode....them to dead......when the Jeep gets to the dealer they discover that the turbo intakes(?) blew off since they were not properly clamped at the factory!!!!! are you kidding me??said there were supposed to be 2 hose clamps that were missing from my system. this follows up a faulty alternator that caused all kinds of electrical issues that had me dead on the road 2 weeks ago....
Now it is back to the dealer for the 7th time...this time my climate control has a mind of its own (either 100 degrees or 50 degrees, no in between) and to make it even better i look under the vehicle and there is a big piece of metal hanging down....i just dont get it.....did i just get a lemon or WTF??? i was a 3 time wrangler owner then went to 4runners,,,,back to jeep when i fell in love with the thought of the eco diesel, but this is getting ridiculous.....has anyone else had issues like this? id love to know....

Re: the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

Its a shame to here of JGCs being delivered like that, I don't know if they are built on Monday mornings when people are still getting over weekends or what, quality control must of had a day off, mine also came with numerous little annoying faults, a close look under the bonnet found loose bolts holding relays, another loose connector holding the engine cover on, some wiring holders not connected etc, and that's not counting the known issues like banging, thudding rear shocks, oh well, lucky its virtues still out way its faults, lets hope you will find its all good after this final round at the dealer.

I hope that the reported problems are an exception.

I've had no repairs preformed, only an oil change I did at home. 6,000+ miles including some towing & off-road use

Re: the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

Had a minor alignment done. That is it perfect. I am very happy with mine and I have 1700 miles in 3 weeks.
I hope these few problems are corrected and that you can enjoy what the rest of us are enjoying...

Do you have a Lemon Law where you are, cause it looks like they sold you one very ripe citrus fruit. I'd be real pi$$ed if it was me. Wish you luck with it, but I would want a new one.

I noticed mine pulls slightly to one side. What happened with yours?

Hmmm, wonder if the bad alternator caused the climate control issue? Any issues with the Uconnect system?
BTW, did they replace the battery?

Re: the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

they did not replace the battery...they are re calibrating the climate control as we speak???? hopefully it fixes that issue...they claim that a skid was not attached properly...the auto high beams have never worked also....not sure what is up with that....i sure hope they get it right today,,..like i said, when the jeep is on, it is AWESOME,,,but these issues make it not so awesome...

Re: the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

Hmm, I'll do some looking around the turbos today. I think I know everybody who works on hoses on all 3 crews so they can tell me what's up/how this would happen, etc.

I know dang well who DIDN'T though, if the dealer is telling the truth.

Re: the eco diesel from hell....service trip #7..

Marlon. Thanks for the reply! I saw it first hand. The two spots where the hose attaches to the turbo right in the front were hanging free. Was just sucking air. Any word on the climate control issues?
